AlphaLAW-Vantage Reporting
There are three aspects of AlphaLAW-vantage reporting. Firstly there are the mandatory reports, such as VAT returns, Profit & Loss reports, banking reports etc. Secondly there are fixed format reports that have been designed to cover the vast majority of client and matter based accounting, time and billing requirements together with those required for efficient practice management. And thirdly, there are user designed reports. These are covered by two reporting systems, Select Report Generator and AlphaLAW-Report Writer.
Please note that the following list and descriptions are only a very brief overview of the main features and functions contained within the AlphaLAW-Reporting environment. Only by viewing and using the system can its full functionality and benefit be fully appreciated.
MANDATORY
Included amongst the mandatory reports are:
- VAT Return - Produces a VAT Return for the stated period and includes a full audit list of all entries hat make up the VAT components.
- Trial Balance - Produces Trial Balance for each branch or for complete firm. view report.....
- Profit & Loss - Lists all income and expenditure nominals, current period, year to date, last year and budget comparisons.
- Nominal Ledger - a list of all nominal ledgers showing current, year to date and last year comparisons. Can be for branch or firm.
- Transaction list - list all financial postings made, includes all bank balances, opening and closing, and all transfers. view report.....
FIXED FORMAT
Included amongst the Fixed Format reports are:
- Bills - Issued, Paid, Overdue, Allocated Costs, Credit Notes, Aged - sort by fee earner/branch/date/bill number - with summary reports - with graphical presentation option. view report.....
- Disbursements - Unbilled, Billed, Cleared, Pre-billed, Anticipated - sort by fee earner/date/branch.
- WIP Summary - Work in progress divided into two sections - consolidated per fee earner and consolidated per matter type.
- Billing Analysis - Breakdown of billing between two specified dates - by fee earner and department.
- Workload - File activity between two dates - by fee earner and department. view report.....
- Current Matter Time Analysis - Time recording and billing details per matter - by fee earner/branch/client range.
- Time Analysis - Time units recorded by fee earner and departments. Time recorded between two dates, time written off between two dates, daily reports of entries made. view report.....
- Time Reporting - List and analysis to time against budget - by fee earner
- Fee Allocated Cost Summary - List and analysis of all allocated costs for a specified period
- Fee Earner Debtor Analysis - Aged breakdown of all debtors - by fee earner or branch.
- Practice Summary Report - This report presents an overall picture of the firm. It includes bank balances, nominal ledger account position, fee earner figures, aged bills and unbilled disbursements. view report.....

This is a simple to use system that allows you, via a series of option, to select the contents of your reports.
AlphaLAW REPORT WRITER
The Report Writer is an add-on module to AlphaLAW-vantage.
- Where the Select Report Generator is limited to the options available, this system allows you to select from the database the information that you require
- You can apply conditions, such as equal to or greater than, to your selections together with sub-totals and totals.
- Reports defined can be saved for subsequent use.
