AlphaLAW goes back to school
Staffordshire University Law School are using AlphaLAW-esprit software from the UK's leading legal software supplier MSS, to further enhance the "professional" quality dedicated Legal Practice Course facilities at the Law School.
"We believe that AlphaLAW-esprit will provide an excellent teaching tool and provide students with practical experience that will further enhance their learning and knowledge base. It will also give them a good grounding in IT applications used in modern solicitors practices," said, Rosemary Evans, Course Director - LPC
The Staffordshire University Law School, established in April 1992, were the first institution, not previously offering The Law Society's Finals Course, to receive approval from The Law Society to run the Legal Practice Course, which has been offered there since September 1993. The Law Society also rated Staffordshire University Law School as "Very Good" for its LPC provision.
Close on the heals of the Staffordshire University order came an order from the University of Huddersfield. Many Law schools are investigating new ways to integrate the practical use of technology into their curricula. Law firms today want graduates who have computer skills on the leading software applications. Huddersfield Law School is very enthusiastic about AlphaLAW-esprit and the opportunity it provides law school students to learn and develop their skills on state-of-the-art technology.
"AlphaLAW-esprit is the ideal software package for law students", says Simon Meehan, Managing Director of MSS. AlphaLAW-esprit is an integrated accounting, time recording, reporting and document production system for the smaller High Street firm or Sole Practitioner. No other system available has such a pedigree as AlphaLAW-esprit. It has evolved from the vast base of experience gained by MSS in developing legal software for well over 25 years and from supporting over 1600 firms over that considerable time.
These latest high profile orders means that MSS and its AlphaLAW product is the only company approved by the Law Society for CPD accredited training courses, is a Recommended Law Society Legal IT Supplier, and is used by Law Schools and Colleges for student training.
